Australian shopping centre owner Westfield and its partner on the Westfield Derby shopping centre, Hermes, have signed a raft of new lettings at the scheme.
Retailers Ark, Superdry, Game, Country Casuals and restaurant group Spur have all agreed to sign up.
David Slade, director of leasing at Westfield, said: ‘Westfield Derby is now in its second year of trading and the centre continues to attract strong footfall making it an attractive destination for retailers as shown by these fantastic new signings.
We had 25m visitors in 2008 and footfall was up 11.6% in January compared to last year - particularly encouraging, considering the current climate.’
Both Ark and Superdry will take 1,770 sq ft units each. Game is taking a 2,200 sq ft unit while Country Casuals, which has rebranded all of its UK stores as CC, will take a 1,750 sq ft unit which will be home to its full line of ladieswear fashion.
South African restaurant, Spur Steak & Grill, will be opening a 4,500 sq ft restaurant in the centre – it will be the fifth Spur outlet in the UK and the first in the Midlands.
