Housing association Newport City Homes has taken 24, 264 sq ft at the Orb in Newport in a major deal for the south Wales region.

Newport City Homes will establish its headquarters at the building, which is being developed by the Welsh Strategic Investment Partnership – a partnership between the Welsh Assembly Government and Babcock and Brown.

It is the first deal at the Orb building and has been agreed on a fifteen year lease. The rent was undisclosed.

Matt Phillips, managing partner of Knight Frank’s Cardiff office, said: ‘The building is a good fit for our client who wanted an existing building in the city centre.’

GVA Grimley advised the landlords. Knight Frank and Morgan Cole advised Newport City Homes.
