Ocado has a requirement for a 20 acre site, which would be as large as its 500,000 sq ft warehouse in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and capable of servicing £1bn of orders a year.
Ocado’s chief financial and marketing officer, Jason Gissing, said the time was right to expand. ‘The model is scalable. We now know how it works,’ he said.
