Olan Mills ceased trading on Boxing Day.

The company, based in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, also collapsed during the Christmas period two years ago but was saved by a management buyout.

A statement on its website said yesterday that an administrator would be appointed soon.

The company said that it was 'endeavouring' to fulfil all outstanding orders, which would be posted direct to home addresses in January.
