Housing association Orbit has acquired a 95-acre site near Daventry in Northamptonshire, on which it plans to build 450 new homes alongside community facilities and a new primary school.
Acquired from strategic land promotion specialists Landform Estates, the new scheme at Mickle Well Park forms part of Orbit’s plans to develop 20,000 new homes over the next 10 years.
Mickle Well Park will include 450 new homes, of which 112 will be for affordable housing and shared ownership, comprising a mix of apartments and two to five bed houses. There will also be 24 serviced plots set aside for self-build and custom-built homes within the woodland location.
