Pinewood Shepperton has launched a marketing campaign to attract a pre-let at both its West London media parks, Pinewood Studios and Shepperton Studios.
The company, which is famous for providing studio space for films including Casino Royale and the Da Vinci code, is looking for media tenants for its proposed 1m sq ft development at Pinewood and 100,000 sq ft at Shepperton.
Announcing the campaign in its interim results, the company said initial responses had been ‘encouraging’. It said it was actively pursuing media tenants to create ‘media clusters’ at the sites.
Infrastructure at both sites is being improved to attract more occupiers, including the commissioning of a new power supply to the Pinewood site as well as a new public highway and entrance, the company said.
At the Shepperton Studios site, being developed by Shepperton Studios Property Partnership, a joint venture with Morley Fund Management, construction is underway on 40,000 sq ft of offices and 20,000 sq ft of office space.
Chief executive of Pinewood Shepperton Ivan Dunleavy said: ‘As we develop our business we focus on our strategy of diversifying our revenue streams to create a broad media park platform, less reliant on volatile film revenues, but servicing the wider creative industries.’
The company saw its profit before tax rise by 39% to £2.9m in the last six months.
