The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has finalised its plans for the design of the British Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The HOK-designed scheme, comprising just over 40,000 sq ft, is located on a 3.7 acre site and the project is due to complete in 2011.
The building is designed to fold around a central courtyard, and has been assessed as BREEAM Excellent.
HOK’s project director Andrew Barraclough said it had been a challenging project, balancing the climate, security and solidity with environmental concerns.
