Plans for the £100m mixed-used Pentavia scheme in Birmingham city centre were unveiled today.

Birmingham Properties Group and clients of LaSalle Investment Management are poised to submit a planning application shortly for the scheme which is on a 1.25 acre site, east of Auchinleck House.

The scheme will comprise 120,000 sq ft of office, two hotels, residential and student accommodation, and an enclosed retail mall.

‘The key to this scheme is deliverability,’ said John Tebbutt, managing director at BPG. ‘The site has previously had too many false dawns, but BPG has created a scheme that can be developed, not withstanding the current challenging environment.’

He said the development will form a ‘key western gateway’ to the city.
