Soho Estates owner and porn baron Paul Raymond has died aged 83.

The man once dubbed the ‘King of Soho’ owned vast swathes of property in London’s West End and was thought to be worth £650m when he died.

Raymond gained notoriety in 1958 when he exploited a loophole in UK law to open a the only club in the UK staging live strip shows, the Raymond Revuebar.

He amassed much of his property portfolio in the West End in the 1970’s and later expanded more into Chelsea and Kensington.

The Paul Raymond Organisation confirmed this morning the reclusive Raymond had passed away.
