The village, which has a population of 750, is near Henley-on-Thames and is noted for its quintessentially English setting on the edge of the Chilterns. It has brick and flint cottages, a pub, village stores, and a highly prized shoot on its 1,600 acres.
Urs Schwarzenbach, the buyer, is a Swiss financier and friend of Prince Charles. He is one of the world’s richest men with an estimated £850m fortune.
