Quinlan Private, the private equity real estate group, has completed the equity-raising for its €2.5bn (£2bn) European property fund.

The Quinlan Private European Strategic Real Estate fund, its first to be opened to US investors, invests in real estate assets across western Europe and in higher growth regions of central and eastern Europe.

The fund targets assets across most real estate sectors. Some €400m of equity has been raised from US investors, with an additional €325m of capital raised from Irish and UK investors. Including debt, this gives a total investment capital of €2.5bn.

The capital raised exceeded Quinlan Private’s initial objectives, suggesting that there was still demand for property investment among institutions and wealthy individuals.

Quinlan raised its new equity from institutional investors, endowments, foundations, life companies and wealthy US individuals.
