Footwear brand Ravel has signed up for its first Irish factory outlet unit

It is to take unit 17, which comprises 2,364 sq ft (219 sq m), at Land Securities and GML Estates’ the Outlet at Bridgewater Park, Bambridge, 26 miles south of Belfast.

It will sit next to Mexx at the park and tenants will include Ghost, Joseph, Marks & Spencer and The Designer Studio.

Ravel will pay a percentage of its turnover, as is typical at factory outlets.

The Outlet is the largest factory outlet with planning permission in Ireland, and will provide more than 200,000 sq ft (18,580 sq m) of retail and 82 units.

The scheme is the first phase of the £200m Bridgewater Park development. The later phases will include the development of a 430,000 sq ft (39,948 sq m) retail park.
