Newham mayor says developer morphed into ‘a cash cow’ for the council
Speaking at The London Real Estate Forum (LREF) last week, Fiaz said: “We are going through a review process with Red Door Ventures, particularly in terms of how and if it can be recalibrated to help contribute to my agenda for a rebalancing around social rented homes.”
In her manifesto ahead of the local elections in May, Fiaz had pledged that 50% of homes being built by Red Door Ventures would be let at social rents on long-term tenancies.
