REIT relief as Clinton outlines budget 2000

Only a year ago, the Clinton administration removed these activities from paired-share REITs. Now it is proposing to allow REITs to operate non-property-related services as taxable subsidiaries. Clinton reportedly expects the proposal to raise $137m (£85.6m) in taxes over the next five years.
