The Lewis Trust, the private company of the Lewis family, headed by the 81-year-old founder of River Island, Bernard Lewis, has secured planning permission for the Beachlands, a scheme of 49 beachfront apartments close to Sandy Lane on the island’s west coast. The project, to be completed in 2010, will be developed using the Lewis Trust’s property company, LTG Real Estate, which recently completed refurbishment of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.
