Rochdale Development Agency has shortlisted four developers for the £100m redevelopment of the Greater Manchester town.

The shortlist comprises: Artisan Property Group and Neptune Developments; Ask Property Developments and Sultan Properties; Valad Property Group and Wilson Bowden Developments.

The developers are vying to work with Rochdale Council to redevelop the Town Centre, improving the retail stores, health facilities, public spaces, bus station and municipal offices by 2012.

The quartet will now create individual detailed plans on the regeneration of the eastern part of the town centre for public consultation before the end of this year.

The final selection will be made in March 2008.
