Stanhope and Schroders have launched public consultation on their plans for Ruskin Square, a site next to East Croydon Station.
Later this year an outline planning application will be submitted for a mixed use office and residential scheme including around 900,000 sq ft of office space and 550 houses.
Stanhope and Schroders will be seeking a pre-let before starting construction of the office accommodation.
The application has been produced with Croydon Council and includes a new home for the Warehouse Theatre, restaurants, shops and a bridge providing a route from the town centre through Ruskin Square into East Croydon Station.
