Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises has put a further 20 pubs on the market, following an original 32 public houses it put on the market in April.

Fleurets has been instructed to sell the portfolios.

The sales will mean Scottish & Newcastle can focus on its core business of managing pubs on behalf of its contract parties, rather than pub ownership.

All of the pubs are currently let with lease terms ranging from 3 to 25 years. The majority are well-established businesses with experienced lessees. Prices start at £125,000 and go up to £725,000.

Simon Hall, Fleurets agency director, said: ‘This is a superb package of properties and very different from the majority of pub company disposals currently hitting the market. These are most definitely not failed or unviable public houses, quite the contrary.

'The majority have good levels of trade and are operated by experienced and secure tenants.’
