Segro has completed the sale of its interests in the Slough Heat & Power power plant to Scottish Southern Energy.

As tipped in Property Week (14/11/07) Segro has sold the interests for £49.25m to SSE, one of the largest energy companies in the UK.

Segro has sold its shares to SSE and has simultaneously granted a 45-year lease of the site which the plant occupies.

SSE has also committed to an ‘Energy Availability Agreement’ under which the power plant will continue to provide utility services to Segro customers.

The deal was completed on New Year’s Eve. Segro was advised by KPMG Corporate Finance.
