Seven senior agents from Savills and Colliers are understood to have left the agencies to set up their own businesses.

Several senior West End agents have resigned from Savills and Colliers to set up their own firm

Three members from Savills, three from Colliers and one ex-Collier employee handed in their resignations this week to and joined heads to create their own firm.

Savills confirmed directors of office agency Ed Betts and Catherine Tilley and Simon Ewart-Perks, director of central London investment will leave the company in due course.

Former partners at specialist practice H2SO Rob Hayes and Charlie Van der Gucht from Colliers are also leaving, alongside Charles Cowley, head of lease advisory.

Ex-Colliers director John Olney is reportedly joining the new firm. Olney left Colliers last August and was among the founders of H2SO.

The Savills Central London agency team will continue to be headed by executive directors Philip Pearce and Stephen Down. Down will lead the central London investment division. Hunter Booth will continue to head the West End office agency team.

Andrew Thomas at Colliers will take over the team in the interim as acting head of investment, supported by director Johnny Evans whilst new team members are appointed.
