Hermes Investment Management and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) Consultant have signed up the first tenant to their South Bank Central scheme in Southwark in the latest sign of the area’s growing appeal.

Consultant DNV-GL has taken 35,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease at a rent believed to be around £65/sq ft.

The office and retail scheme, which Union Street Partners and CBRE are acting on as joint agents, is expected to attract interest from tech and media firms.
