South East office take-up for the third quarter of 2018 reached 1m sq ft for the first time in four years, reveals data from Colliers International shared exclusively with Property Week.
Take-up was 24% above the five-year quarterly average of 819,881 sq ft and more than doubled last year’s 467,456 sq ft Q3 figure.
The average size of lettings has also increased; deals in the 20,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft size represented 36% of total take-up, while those of 50,000 sq ft and over accounted for 31% of the total.
