Sports Direct has launched its second acquisition in less than a week, buying 60% of Field & Trek, the outdoor clothing and equipment retailer. The Times. Daily Telegraph. The Guardian. The Independent

Field & Trek has 11 stores, mostly in the south-east of England, and sells camping equipment, waterproof clothing and footwear.

Sports Direct will pay £5m for the stake and has an option to buy the remaining 40% in five years’ time for £5m. Last week it made a $182m bid for boxing brand Everlast.
