Stuart Grant will take up the newly created position in September after an 18-year career at Blackstone.

Grant, who has spent 18 years at Blackstone in its London and Hong Kong offices, will start in September and will work alongside chief executive David Camp.

The managing director position has been introduced after a period of substantial growth for Stanhope, during which it has taken strides into new business areas such as mixed tenure, mid-priced housing and asset management.
