Stockley Park, the massive business park near Heathrow Airport, is to undergo an extension worth up to £400m.

Considered to be the most famous office site of its type in the UK, with tenants including bp and Marks & Spencer, Stockley is to undergo a third phase of development that will add more than 500,000 square feet of offices and hotel space. Owner Stockley Park Consortium, which is led by the UK arm of Japanese construction conglomerate Kajima, will submit a planning application next month.

Julian Rudd-Jones, Kajima Partnership's managing director, said: 'The existing planning consent on Stockley Park goes back to the early part of the decade. We are working on a scheme that will bring those plans up-to-date with other uses, including a hotel, and we will submit a planning application in the near future.'
