At the other end of the property scale is Land Securities retail leasing director Keith Stone

Every Saturday afternoon of the football season Stone can be found working the turnstiles and treading down the divots at half time at Conference side AFC Wimbledon in south-west London. Stone has stuck by the new team, nine seasons after the original Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes and became MK Dons.

“Being born a stone’s throw from the original ground at Plough Lane and getting my first season ticket age six, I have become a lifelong supporter,” he tells me. “My one ambition for the club remains for them to finish higher than that club in Buckinghamshire.”
