Surrey County Council is looking for a development partner to buy and redevelop part of Cobham town centre.

The one acre site on Cobham Road comprises a library, youth facility and vacant buildings.

The council wants to build a new library on the site as well as either residential or commercial development alongside.

The sale is part of the council’s Reshaping Community Assets programme which aims to unlock value from sites to provide better services.

Knight Frank is advising.

Hugh Stuttaford, partner in residential development at Knight Frank, said: ‘The successful developer will have the opportunity to redevelop this site in a number of ways, subject to gaining the necessary consents.

'While the library and community space must be re-provided on site, the remaining land potentially offers a number of different opportunities.’
