Robert Tchenguiz and his brother-in-law, Vivian Immerman, are set to make a tasty profit from the sale of whisky maker Whyte & Mackay to Indian drinks company UB Group for £595m. The Independent.


As chairman and two-thirds shareholder in the 163-year-old Scotch whisky distiller, Immerman will make £280m from the sale, while Tchenguiz will net £140m. The price includes £175m of debt.

Immerman and other investors paid £208m for the company in 2001.
