Prupim has completed a 43,142 sq ft letting to Thames Water at its flagship office park, Green Park in Reading.

The UK’s largest water and wastewater services company has agreed to take a 25-year lease on 550 South Oak Way which was completed in April this year.

It will use the space as its operations management centre in the largest letting in Reading so far this year.

It is understood that Thames Water is to pay £28.50/sq ft with a year rent free period of 4.5 years.

Rory Carson, associate director of asset management for Prupim, said: ‘Since launching 500 and 550 South Oak Way in March this year, we have experienced encouraging levels of interest.

‘Thames Water’s commitment reinforces the fact that there is still occupier appetite for new, high quality offices and Green Park’s location and amenities make it a compelling offer.’

Steve Shine, Thames Water’s chief operating officer, said: ‘The Operations Management Centre is one of the key building blocks in our drive to improve customer service and function as efficiently as possible - delivering better value for money for our customers by ensuring every penny spent is put to the best possible use.

‘By integrating a number of our core operational functions in this way, we will be in a much better position to plan and coordinate our work, giving us the ability to respond to our customers faster and making us easier to deal with.’

Campbell Gordon represented Thames Water and Knight Frank advised Prupim.
