Irish and UK student accommodation provider Ely Property Group has appointed Mark Pollard as its development director.
Pollard joins from Treasury Holdings where he was director of development since 2005. Prior to this he has had a number of senior development roles in companies such James Smith Estates and ASDA Property.
Ely currently has six student blocks in Ireland and the UK comprising 1,772 beds with close to 100% occupancy and a pipeline of projects for development in 2009 and beyond.
It recently received full planning permission for a 734 bed student accommodation and commercial use development in Birmingham City Centre. The site is located next to Aston University, Birmingham City University and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Ely also has a further 1,400 beds across five sites in the UK and Ireland, currently in the planning process.
It is headed by CEO and founder, Philip Marley, together with Brian Winters, executive director and corporate secretary.
