Irish property company Treasury Holdings has been voted the ‘best foreign investor’ by the city administration of St Petersburg in Russia for its development of a leisure resort.

It received the award for its plans for the Tsarkoye Selo Golf Club leisure resort in the Pushkin district of St Petersburg, which is located close to the historic grounds of The Catherine Palace.

The 667 acre scheme comprises a new golf course and golf club. It will have nearly 1.3m sq ft mixed use development, including a five star hotel, golf villas, golf apartments and the 18 hole championship golf course will be designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Richard Barrett, founding director of Treasury Holdings, said: ‘This is a significant achievement for Treasury Holdings. This is the very first time that a real estate company has been chosen by St.Petersburg’s City Administration in Pushkin district and we are proud to have won the award in light of the stiff competition we faced.
