Housebuilder Avant Homes has appointed two new group directors to work alongside each other on land buying and potential trade acquisitions as part of the company’s plans to double output to 4,000 homes a year and a £1bn turnover by 2023.
Lindsay Ramsden has joined as group strategic land director from Redrow Homes where she was head of planning. Alongside her, Grant Westall-Reece has been appointed group director of business development having previously worked with the company as a consultant for the past two years.
The pair will form a team with Avant Homes’ group company secretary and general counsel, Jo Massey, as the housebuilder embarks on a “massive” land acquisition and expansion programme. In financial results to 27 April, group revenues were up 21% to a record £447m and operating profit grew 43% to £65.9m from £46m the previous year.
Avant Homes chief executive Colin Lewis said: “Lindsay and Grant are both outstanding operators and, combined with the excellent Jo Massey, they make a formidable team.
“We are undertaking a massive land buying programme and considering trade acquisitions to deliver our plan of doubling output and revenue within five years. The triumvirate we have formed have the knowledge, capability and drive to make it happen. They will play an essential role in ensuring our upward trajectory and forward momentum is further enhanced and maintained.”
