Brexit clock

In a turbulent week for both the Brexit process and the government, new research has found that two thirds (66%) of SMEs in the UK now want to remain in the EU.

The figure, revealed in the latest quarterly Citibase Business Confidence Index,  has jumped from 61% in the Q1 2018 survey.

The index also showed SMEs are divided on what type of Brexit they want, with 45% of respondents preferring a hard Brexit (down from 48% in Q1 2018) and 49% a soft Brexit (up from 38% in Q1 2018).
