Pacific Middle East, the Middle Eastern unit of AIM-listed Real Office Group, has struck an alliance with Qatar's Rumaillah Group to accelerate its expansion into nascent Gulf property markets.

Doha-based Rumaillah Group is a construction services group owned by Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali Bin Abdullah Al Thani. The two companies have worked together for two years and have decided to combine their operations ahead of a predicted surge in office demand.

'PME has had an interesting and exciting introduction to the Doha market. We intend to stay and to grow, and want to ensure we play our part in building this exciting new financial centre,' Roger Smee, chairman of Real Office Group, said.
