Unite has bought a £114.5m portfolio of student housing from student accommodation operator Base

The UK student housing group has bought five properties for £76.4m in Liverpool, Leicester and Sheffield, which are more than 98% let and have an annual income of £3.7m. It has an option to buy the shares of a company controlled by Base, which is developing a £38.1m student accommodation scheme in Manchester.

The properties will be owned by Unite outright and not by the Unite UK Student Accommodation Fund.
