Waitrose has taken 30,000 sq ft of office space in Bracknell to support its headquarters operation in the town.

The retailer needed more space as a result of the reorganisation of its national distribution centre, also based in Bracknell on the same site as its main HQ.

It has taken the space at the nearby Panasonic building in Olbury Road.

Guy Parkes, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Western corridor office, who acquired the space for Waitrose, said: ‘We were able to satisfy this urgent requirement very swiftly within two months of receiving instructions.

'An off market deal was identified at the nearby Panasonic building in Olbury Road, Bracknell where we were able to agree a very flexible lease for three years with a two year break.’

Vail Williams acted for Panasonic.
