Waitrose is expanding into homewares, kitchen products and gifts after unveiling a wide-ranging deal with sister company John Lewis.

The John Lewis Partnership is forging closer links between its two brands as the company tries to take market share in its grocery business from rivals Tesco and Sainsbury.

The closer collaboration will see thousands of John Lewis and Waitrose products available online from website Waitrose.com, which launches tomorrow.

Customers will be able to choose between having nonfood goods delivered to their home or they can order over the internet then collect the items from their local Waitrose branch.
