Waystone secures plannning for major M18 Power Park.

Regeneration specialist Waystone has secured planning permission to develop Hatfield Power Park, near Doncaster.

The scheme comprises a 95 acre development at junction 5 off the M18 near Doncaster.

The total development potential at the disused site comprises 130 acres and is situated next to a working colliery and a new IGCC power station already under development by Powerfuels.

Waystone said it plans to develop Hatfield Power Park for large commercial and industrial occupation. It will incorporate technology that is ideal for occupiers with large heat and power requirements.

The permission includes a new 2km road linking the Park directly to the M18 which WAYSTONE said will open up further regeneration development in Hatfield and Stainforth.

Stuart McLoughlin, managing director at Waystone said: 'Hatfield Power Park will provide opportunities and synergies for industries and technologies with operational requirements that cannot be served from a more traditional business and industry park.'

Knight Frank has been appointed as sole commercial letting agent for the development.
