Weatheralls pays for old habits

In a statement, the firm said it had ‘settled amicably on confidential terms’ with Tower Hill Properties, a consortium of finance houses. Tower Hill bought five hotels for £53.9m in 1990 but sued Weatheralls because it believed the properties were overvalued.
