Architect Will Alsop has revealed details of his first US scheme on the Hudson River in New York
The Glenwood waterfront regeneration project at a former power plant in Yonkers, New York, will become a public space and mixed-use scheme.
A public promenade will encircle three towers, connecting the park areas at the rear to the waterfront.
The power plant switch house will become a contemporary art museum with residential above.
A tower will house residential, retail, waterfront restaurants and a roof-top Green space with an exercise facility, pool and plots for residents' gardens.
A second tower, known as the 'magic tower', which is to the south of the main power plant building, will be an additional residential building.
SMC Alsop was appointed to the project in early 2006. New Jersey-based REMI Companies is the developer.
