Wilson Bowden Developments has bought a 16-acre site in Northamptonshire for a £35m business park development.
The 16-acre former British Timken factory was bought with outline planning consent for the development of office and light industrial accommodation. Wilson Bowden, a subsidiary of Barratt Developments, is now working with the West Midlands Development Corporation to start the first phase of the development.
The new business park will comprise around 260,000 sq ft, a combination of 100,000 sq ft of offices and 160,000 sq ft of industrial units.
Lambert Smith Hampton and Budworth Hardcastle are agents on the scheme. The first phase of speculative office units will commence on the site mid 2008.
