Wilson Bowden Developments and the North West Regional Development Agency have outlined plans to build 600,000 sq ft of industrial space at Kingsway business park near Rochdale.

The Kingsway Partnership, a joint venture between the two organisations in association with Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Borough Council, has submitted planning for the new phase on the 420 acre business park.

Robert Grafton, development director at Wilson Bowden Developments, said: ‘Even in this difficult market, Kingsway is attracting a high level of interest and enquiries.’

Kingsway, which has seen £350m of private sector investment and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is one of the largest developments of its kind in the UK, totalling more than 3m sq ft of industrial space, almost 300,000 sq ft of office space and almost 200,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, as well as 300 residential units.

P3 Property Consultants and JLL are the agents at Kingsway.
