Wilson Bowden Developments has signed up the first industrial tenant for Kingsway Business Park in Greater Manchester.

Oldham-based Vindon Scientific, an environmental testing chamber supplier, has taken 29,480 sq ft for a storage and manufacturing unit on Plot E the Park.

The unit, which is the first industrial unit at Kingsway, will be complete in June 2008.

Speculative development

Wilson Bowden and joint venture partners the Northwest Regional Development Agency and Rochdale Borough Council will build four more industrial units speculatively over the next year at the 285-acre Park, totalling around 145,000 sq ft.

Jane Dobie, development manager at Wilson Bowden Developments, said: ‘This early commitment to Kingsway from the local business sector underlines the strategic importance of the site to the local economy. We hope to find new neighbours for our first occupier shortly.’

Erinaceous Group and Jones Lang LaSalle are letting agents at Kingsway.
