The Potteries regeneration scheme in north Staffordshire has been named the Enterprise Capital of Britain 2007. The Daily Telegraph

The project, which covers the urban core of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, beat 11 regional finalists.

Business secretary John Hutton presented the award last week, which recognised the transformation of the Potteries from ‘the worst place in the country to start a business’ into a hub of enterprise activity.
