Plans to build an elevated road extension off Tower Bridge, dubbed the Wave, will be lodged in the coming weeks.

Property Week can exclusively reveal the first images of the plans, designed by architects AVR London.

The firm has been working on the plans for months having been tasked with coming up with an aesthetically pleasing solution to traffic disruption caused by the raising bridge.

It has released CGIs of what the new elevated road, cycleway and pedestrian route will look like if it gains planning permission.

The plans for one of London’s best loved structures are likely to be met with fierce opposition.
