Allsop’s May commercial sale down £24m on 2017

Auction house raised £79m on the day compared with £94.6m last year, achieving an 81% success rate.

The auction house raised £79m from the sale of 134 lots, or 81% of the 165 lots in the catalogue.

Last week’s total is significantly lower than the £94.6m raised during the equivalent auction in May last year, when Allsop sold 124 lots of the 173 offered on the day, reflecting a 72% success rate.
