LSH online arm sells largest lot yet with £2.5m MoD disposal

Former MoD site, Hampshire

MoD site near Portsmouth attracted 407 bids but sale may be eclipsed next week by LSH lot guided at £20m.

A 45-acre plot of land near Portsmouth, Hampshire, was sold for £2.5m on 12 June – five times the £450,000 to £500,000 original guide price.

It was also the largest lot LSH has sold on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) since the firm obtained a contract to dispose of the estate’s surplus assets in March last year.

The former MoD site is a few miles from Portsmouth with direct access to the M27 to Southampton and A3 to London and Guildford.
