Data shows UK auction houses recorded lower-than-average results in the traditionally busy month
The latest data from EIG revealed that revenues fell from £527m in July 2017 to £473m this year.
The number of lots offered fell by 2.8% to 3,555, while the number of lots sold dropped by 7.1% to 2,578.
