Vicarage stars help London auctioneer trump 2017 total

Vicorage Diocese of Southwark

Andrews & Robertson sale raised £1m more than last year despite offering a much smaller catalogue.

The London-based auctioneer raised £12m from the sale of 39 lots of a 55-lot catalogue, reflecting a 71% success rate.

In June 2017, the auction house raised £11m, selling 89 lots or 76% of its 118-lot catalogue.

Last week’s sale was boosted by two properties in London, including a vicarage that sold for almost £1m above its guide price.
