Following the thirteenth anniversary of the 7/7 attacks, domestic terrorism looms large in the mind.
Arrests in connection to terrorism have increased 60% in the past year alone.
The effects of the five attacks which hit the UK in 2017 extend beyond the emotional trauma inflicted on the victims and their families. As incidents increase in ferocity and prevalence, their effects move outwards into the infrastructure of the country. Nearly all attacks result in damage to buildings and transportation links and businesses without terrorism insurance are forced to rebuild without financial assistance in the wake of these incidents.
